| GEE/GALLO/MINETTO: Jonathan Gee, piano; Danilo Gallo, bass; Alessandro Minetto, drums. When Antonio Ciacca brought us together to play at his jazz festival in the Appenines a trio was instantly born. Three strong but complementary personalities as improvisers and, very importantly, composers. After two tours and two visits to Stefano Amerio's studio we offer this CD. Produced by Stefano Amerio and Gee, Gallo, Minetto. Recorded, mixed and mastered by Stefano Amerio at Artesuono recording studios. Artesuono is the recording studio and label of Stefano Amerio, based near Udine in the far north-eastern corner of Italy. The studio has a European-wide reputation for excellence, and recently both John Taylor and Kenny Wheeler have recorded there. Manfred Eicher of ECM also uses it, as well as leading Italians such as Enrico Rava. The label similarly has a reputation for excellence. |
